The Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce promotes the greater Mount Airy area including all of Surry County. The Chamber offers a step-on-tour guide service for visiting groups.The Mount Airy Visitors Center is now located in the Chamber Building.

Floyd's City Barber Shop

Floyd's City Barber Shop is a real-life barber shop. Owner Russell Hiatt used to cut Andy Griffith's hair. Russell has a "Wall of Fame" in the shop. It contains more than 20,000 pictures of visitors--and counting such as Oprah Winfrey and "The Incredible Hulk"

Downtown Cinema Theatre

Site of the nation's third longest- running live radio Bluegrass and Old-Time music show. Local AM radio station, WPAQ 740AM, is the founder of the show called "The Saturday Morning Merry Go Round" which happens every Saturday at 11 am-1:30
